Bleib in der Dynamik der Liebe! - Stay in the dynamic of love!

Ich hatte einem Kollegen, mit dem ich nicht ganz im Frieden bin, versprochen, das Fahrrad eines geflüchteten Jugendlichen zu reparieren. Bis zum Feierabend hatte ich den Schlauch des Rades geflickt, leider hatte die Zeit für die defekte Lichtanlage nicht mehr gereicht. Ich rief  den Kollegen an und erzählte ihm den Stand der Dinge. Er war froh darüber, dass das Fahrrad schon wieder so weit hergestellt war, dass der Jugendliche damit fahren konnte.

Abends hatte ich noch einen Termin und war gegen 22:00 Uhr auf dem Heimweg. Ich dachte erneut an das Fahrrad und mir kam der Gedanke:  Es ist die größere Liebe für den jungen Burschen und für meinen Kollegen, wenn ich das Licht auch noch reparieren würde, bevor er mit dem Fahrrad wieder im Straßenverkehr unterwegs ist. So machte ich noch den kleinen Abstecher zu meinem Arbeitsplatz und richtete die Lichtanlage her. Als ich dann nach Hause fuhr, hatte ich eine große Freude im Herzen, die Reparatur abgeschlossen zu haben und es nicht auf die Zeit nach meinem Urlaub zu verschieben, wie mein Kollege vorgeschlagen hatte.

I had promised a colleague, with whom I am not entirely at peace, to repair the bicycle of a young refugee. Until the end of the day I had mended the tube of the bike, unfortunately there was not enough time for the defective light system. I called the colleague and told him these facts. He was glad that the bicycle was already repaired so far that the youngster could ride it.

In the evening I had another appointment and was on my way home around 10:00 pm. I thought about the bicycle again and the thought came to my mind: It is the greater love for the young boy and for my colleague if I would also fix the light before he is on the road again with the bicycle. So I made a little detour to my workplace and fixed the lights. When I drove home, I had a great joy in my heart to have completed the repair and not to postpone it until after my holiday, as my colleague had suggested.
