We had set off for Dresden to present the project ‘navi4life – Navigate your way into life’ at the diocese's administrative office. It was unclear who and what would be waiting for us. We set off early in the morning full of confidence. Nine highly interested professionals from the fields of education, pastoral care and child and youth work turned up. We were given two exciting hours. A retired grammar school staff member had been highly committed to young people throughout his life and still was. As we said goodbye, he said, ‘It was not for nothing that we met. I will definitely be in touch again. Your selflessness in dealing with young people fascinated me!’
