Pentecost

A phone call reaches me. ‘This morning in the sermon, I heard from our elderly priest that he has understood the message of Pentecost in a new way. He said that it was not (just) about a one-off event in the past, but about the ongoing process of becoming firm in and for one's own life through the power of the Spirit and by listening to his quiet impulses!’ With a burning heart, the caller had presented the three logbooks of the ‘navi4life’ project to his parish team as a help for young people to find their way. He continued: ‘And the head priest of our parish called and asked where he could order the logbooks, because he had given his to a young woman who was preparing for the sacrament of confirmation! In these moments, I can joyfully feel how much the Holy Spirit builds bridges when we let him work.
