As part of the intercultural week, we organised an open day at the Tiny House to present the ‘navi4life’ project to interested people. The weather wasn't the best, it was rainy and cold. People from many different countries came by. Months ago, a young Afghan couple had given shelter for a few days to a family who had fled Iran because of their faith. They spoke broken English. Now they were living in a neighbouring town. They had travelled here especially to get to know us. When I met them, I noticed the light in the middle-aged woman's eyes. ‘We weren't allowed to be baptised in our country and we have such a longing for Jesus,’ she told me. I looked into her eyes and had the impression that I was looking right into her searching heart. Then she asked: ‘Can you help us to get to know Jesus even better?’ On the open day, a deeply open heart - what a gift!
