Early on a Sunday morning, I went to a large bakery to buy bread rolls and cakes for my elderly mother. I knew the shop assistant who served me. She is happy every time we see each other. She had already placed two pieces of apple pie on the cardboard tray and was now trying to take the third piece I had ordered from a large plate. However, she didn't succeed on her fourth attempt as the slice was stuck to the neighbouring slice. I saw her struggle and told her: ‘You know, they don't want to be separated, I'll just take four pieces of apple pie!' She looked at me a little impishly and replied: ‘Because what God has joined together, we humans can't separate again! We laughed heartily and so did all the people waiting at the bread counter.
