On Tuesday, I received a call from a gentleman who had received a tip via various indirect routes to ask the Encounter Centre I manage if we could take in a Ukrainian family with three children. They have twins who are only 2 months old. He had already found a flat for the family in January, but until then we needed an interim solution. We have a flat in our centre that is perfect for the family. However, it is occupied until Sunday and the family would have had to go to a hotel for the days at short notice. In the afternoon I told my mother about the call. She spontaneously said, "The family is welcome to move into my guest room for the 4 days!" In the evening, the motto of the day came to my mother's mind: "God is looking for you!" We had not expected it to be so concrete. The young family arrived with us yesterday, safe and sound, after a long journey via Moldova. The gratitude of them and their friends in our city is very great.
