Today I met a brave young mother who has a lot of sorrow with her children. She has little connection to the faith. I told her about my husband, who works with disadvantaged young people who are difficult to raise. She was totally touched. Then she said, "Your husband was certainly sent to these children. This is all no coincidence, this is just ..." She was at a loss for words.
Later, I accompanied a lively group of children to the playground. There, my colleague suddenly began to cry unexpectedly. She told me that her youngest son had been diagnosed with a serious illness. In the afternoon, she had to take him to the hospital for tests. She was full of fear. I opened my heart completely to her. So she felt that she was not alone.
It is really true: when we follow Jesus, he leads us exactly to the people who need his bread of life. To be able to be this bread and to pass it on, I experience as a deep trust of God in us. It is difficult and beautiful - "beautiful difficult"!
