We had celebrated the Easter service with people from 14 nations - with many children and young people. All of them had found their place in the liturgy. The church was noticeably filled with joy. An old couple - both well over 90 years old - had travelled over 150 kilometres by train especially to be in our city, where they feel very much at home, during Holy Week. Then they had had the idea of remaining until Easter, which was possible in the hotel where they were staying. I had seen them and greeted them at the church service. After the mass, the two old people came up and sang with joy a Marian song in latin language. The man, already a little handicapped, sat down after the song and smiled at me. "What a gift to be here. All these children and young people from so many countries and everyone is welcome. If you have lost your faith, you can find it again here!" he let us know with tears in his eyes.
