113.050 € for the construction of a children's village
They escaped the hell of Mariupol and Charkiw. 55 orphans. Dr Michael Melnyk and his team from the Ukrainian Social Academy - closely linked to the go4peace network - found them in train stations and on streets. Now they have arrived in Khmelnytskyi and are currently living in a large sports hall, looked after by "Sisters of the Holy Family".
They are still small - up to 12 years old.
Dr. Michael Melnyk, a Greek Catholic priest, is currently building a small wooden children's village for them - with rooms suitable for children, playrooms and a well-equipped kitchen.
The kitchen is already paid!
A modest 266 m² of covered space is planned - with wooden containers that can easily be added to in the future. Each square meter - including building materials, electricity and water access - of this small center for the children costs 425 €. The land is available, it is provided by the local church.
Our goal is to raise the money for 266 square meters at 425 € each.
