happy

Time and again she came to the empty church, seeking silence. After a while, she let us know that she would like to be baptised. I invited her to an ice cream shop. She quickly came to trust me. She indicated that her childhood hadn’t been easy, but she had started praying and felt that she wasn’t alone on her journey. “God is always looking after me, I can feel it!” she said. She had already finished school and was now looking for a suitable apprenticeship. She had got herself a prayer book and I promised her a beautiful rosary. I told her about some upcoming big events she was welcome to join. She gladly agreed. “I’m so looking forward to getting to know other young people who are also on a journey of faith!” As we said goodbye, she said: “Oh, that was lovely. I’m really happy and I feel that a way forward is opening up.”
